The Feeling That Doesn’t Sleep

by: Nehemiah L. Hemingway

It is a mystery that cannot be solved
It is something you cannot get rid of
It is so deep the canyons will drown
It is a cure to your depressing frown.

A feeling so strong, the winds couldn’t stand
A feeling so warm you can’t touch with a hand
A feeling so high you’ll lift off your feet
It is the feeling that doesn’t sleep.

Time is precious, but still does not compare
This is a desire more important than air
Life isn’t promised to you or to me
But this feeling will last for eternity.

A feeling so strong, the winds couldn’t stand
A feeling so warm you can’t touch with a hand
A feeling so high you’ll lift off your feet
It is the feeling that doesn’t sleep.

It is so blind, no matter how wrong
It is the pen that wrote the song
It is a feeling that we all dream of
You know the feeling, the feeling of Love.
