What Lies Beneath

This world has been plagued with the necessity to lie. There is not solely one you can blame for this. A country created by rapist, murderers, thieves, and liars can only lead to its inhabitants to inherit the same deviant acts and ways of thinking. Either way it is scrutinized, it is a sad realization of the truth. Who can be trusted? Or at least if there is someone to trust, how can one recognize truth? Not to insult anyone in particular, but the naïve mind believes that truth is all around it. There are children that are being rewarded to do so. As early as they are able to speak they display the capability of shying away from the truth. Each time a parent does not wish to speak to the person on the other end of the phone they send their children in to do the “dirty work,” or lie as I choose to call it. “My mommy is in the shower,” as the mother whispers in the child’s ear while smiling. The wrong signal is continuously being sent, and then it is wondered why by the time children are teenagers that it becomes a habit. Punishments become warranted for displaying the lessons they have been trained to perform. Minds are willing to accept what they are told by those in power or those in the media (difficult to distinguish between the two, right?). Newscasters become advisors for the elders. Why is it again that the media has such a dramatic affect on the world? Maybe it is due to the fact that people seem to refrain from watching so much television? It has become as if the media is thinking for us. The truth becomes questioned and lies freely evade scrutiny without a second guess. I ask that you pardon the assumption that I hold the truth, or even the fact that all statements made by the media are lies. I write these words in order for people to read for there to be a realization of the difference between truth and lie. If anything, I challenge you to question before accepting. Do research before inheriting what you hear from others as the truth. I always had the feeling that a mind that does not question is a wasted mind, for I believe all men are to seek answers. If not, then why have the ability to think? The unquestioning mind is a mind being controlled; it has been trained not to think for its self. No one likes being controlled, and if so, I could not imagine why. Lies have a way of creeping out of their hiding places. I believe that they grow to be so massive that there really is no place for them to hide anymore. If you freely endorse “false-knowledge” the teaching of “false-knowledge” will be multiplied. Like I stated previously, I don’t place the blame on anyone, especially if the majority is trying to convince others by providing “false-knowledge” and hope (which needs to be added), but there are truths that may never be found. If you can help it and can realize it, then do so. Yet again I state: In order to find truth one must seek and question; that is why we have minds and the ability to use them.


Lies accepted and truths denied; where did we go wrong? Raised to be honest, at least most of us, yet leaning towards the path of dishonesty. Taking the purest of creation and tainting its little soul with the blood of a snake’s tongue. People live and accept the fact that the world has another soldier of deceit, ear drums beat to the soundtrack of refusing truth, and roles are reversed in the realm of morality. Must one cheat in order to win, or lie to be trusted? If so, then all should be awakened from this dream, for this cannot be reality.
